Ashwini Parshwanath

Never say die

Ashwini is a little different from others in her ability to think beyond her role. Ashwini not only excelled at work but also managed to build a very happy family. Not only Ashwini but also the organizations take great pride in the success they derive through inclusion of diversity because of the measures Ashwini took constantly over years.

Ashwini Parshwanath, a girl from the small town of Mysore, Karnataka and with an ocean of ambition in her mind, started her career after getting a successful Masters Degree in Marketing Management, 16 years ago in a world where glass ceilings in corporate were harder than the concrete ones.

This made Ashwini only more determined and stronger to grow in a world that is otherwise dominated by men. Today, I am proud to see her as a Vice President in one of the world’s leading Investment Banks. I know her because she was working with me for a while during her career days and it is not uncommon for any father of a girl like me to want to see the girls grow like Ashwini. Fathoming amazing challenges, both at work and with a growing child at home, Ashwini not only excelled at work but also managed to build a very happy family.
It never came easy for her.

At work, she not only had to deliver results but also had to go through the gruesome scrutiny of “how a lady could do this.” However, that only seemed to make Ashwini stronger. She took it as a challenge and took upon herself to derive the inclusion of diversity as a core job objective. She successfully delivered an amazing change in this regard in every organization she worked for. Today these organizations take great pride in the success they derive through inclusion of diversity because of the measures Ashwini took constantly over years.

This, however, was only her second nature. Ashwini never ever lost sight of her primary objective in achieving the Organization’s goals. In fact, she has to her credit, sales, and renewals of multi-million dollar engagements, World’s Best Helpdesk Award, Most active CSR Partner, and many such unique accolades.

Ashwini is a true role model and a solid inspiration for many known to me and I personally feel, as many I know also do, greatly inspired by her commitment, passion and her “never say die” attitude.
