Meenakshi is a crusader voicing gender equality in our society. She found her true calling of life in writing. She founded SheTheShakti Inc., a woman empowerment centre. Her focus is to build a humane society which celebrates, embraces and empowers girls and women psychologically, emotionally, physically and socially.

Meenakshi M. Singh is a versatile woman and a true change maker to challenge any stereotypes. She is an author of three books – ‘Soulful Symphony’, ‘Aawaz’ and ‘I Am Enough’, a poetic tribute to the strength of the woman and widely published. She is also the founder of SheTheShakti - a woman empowerment centre, a certified creative writer, theatre actress, an IT professional as well as a housewife and a mom of twin daughters. From writing programming code to writing story books and poetry has been a journey of covering one pole to another, but a fulfilling one.

She is a true fighter and fought with the obstacles head on in life by using education as her weapon. She was a topper throughout her academic career, a district topper in Stds. 8 and 12 and university topper in B.Sc. (Mathematics) Honours. She did her masters in Software Systems, becoming an IT professional. With a rich corporate experience of 10 years working in various MNCs, she finally ended being a Deputy Manager in an IT firm.

She is proud to be a mother of twin daughters. She believes in celebrating her daughters and is a crusader towards voicing gender equality in our society. After her IT experience, she found her true calling of life in writing and dared to quit her job to tread the path of her heart.
She was mocked and doubted for her unworthy choice of making a career in writing but she kept striving. She forged on a less travelled road with no family lineage, financial support or background. She participated in Open Mics, contests and so on and won hearts of live audiences.

Today, she is an established author/poet and her body of work has been widely published in more than 50 national and international anthologies, magazines, journals and she has been the winner of many writing contests.

To give back to society, she pledged to have a mission to empower fellow women through their true expression like she carved her own identity. In order to do this, she launched SheTheShakti Inc., a woman empowerment centre, on June 1st, 2017. It came up with an anthology of 125 poets, a grand poetic celebration of feminism, a collective voice towards empowering woman’s voice in the society. It expressed a chorus of change, of celebration, of hope. Meenakshi's efforts were highly commended by all.

Meenakshi has been conferred with the much reputed Karamveer Chakra Award 2016, instituted by United Nations, iCongo and the REX Global Fellowship for her contribution in society. She has been conferred the Magicka Women's Achiever's Award, Pride of Women Award by Aagaman Group and SashaktNari Parishad - Pride of Nation Award in 2015, for being an inspiration.

She believes that one can stay young by learning new things regardless of age. She started learning theatre at the age of 36 and is a theatre actress, who has performed in various theatrical plays in coveted places like Mandi House and Epicentre. She has contributed for Chitrashala – a museum for Indian Culture and Heritage based near Nainital. She was one of the hosts for the Delhi Poetry Festival 3.

She has been active in content preparation and conducting various technical training programmes in Tata Consultancy Services and Keane India. She has won the best story prize published in ‘Under The Banyan Tree’, first prize winner of Sunlit Hearts Crusade, Valentine Poetry Competition by Poets Corner, Ocean to Ocean, Follow your Heart Contest and so on.
She has set an example for women to listen to their hearts, to transform their passion into a profession. She is also the founder of creativeHappiness Book Club, having 800+ members and anchor of NCR Writers’ group.

She is the CHO (Chief Happiness Officer) of ‘creativeHappiness’, a creative centre functioning from her home, focused on fostering creative expression and has been polishing personalities by nurturing their expression through her self-designed course ‘Find Your Voice’ and ‘Empowered Expressions’ programmes. She feels fulfilled and proud to see the works of her students as well as women friends published.

She envisions expanding her centre to an institution of creative expression, running creative writing courses, workshops, Open mics, theatrical workshops, all bustling with creation of art and beauty, transforming our society into a sensitive and humane one.

She is based in Gurgaon with her ever- supportive husband, raising her twin daughters. She is also bringing out an anthology of poems, ‘A Chorus of Youth’ by young adults, to foster the creative expression in today’s youth. Her focus is to build such a humane society which celebrates, embraces and empowers girls and women psychologically, emotionally, physically and socially. She says, “I am enough as we all are enough, always, as is.”
