Smitha S Ranganathan

The Unstoppable

The hunger and restlessness to do beyond have kept Smitha always rushing and moving about, wearing multiple hats all at once – teacher, classical singer, entrepreneur of a venture called Brandlooms that helps small artisans feature their work across India. Every summer she pushes herself to do one thing she is awfully scared of which she believes keeps her grounded and more empathetic to different learning styles.

A teacher by profession, Smitha addresses the young audience who want to make it big in the advertising industry. They are completely awestruck by her presence and listen to her very attentively. You can see the kindness in the smiles she gives out to everyone around her and with confidence in her voice, she says, "Only if you believe it's a big beautiful world out there, can you say that life is beautiful." This reflects in her teaching, the hunger and restlessness to do beyond have kept her always rushing and moving about, wearing multiple hats all at once.

Smitha continues to follow her passion for creativity and is a classical singer too. She has recently started a venture called Brandlooms that helps small artisans feature their work across India.

She has won two awards, an award-winning case study for best-emerging start-ups and the Eastern Bhoomika Award in a span of one year within the launch.

She is a mother of two talented kids, one has a YouTube channel that features card tricks and the other is a basketball player under the age of 6.

While teaching and motherhood keep her busy, every summer she pushes herself to do one thing she is awfully scared of. She has taken up swimming this year. She believes this habit keeps her grounded and more empathetic to different learning styles.

While a lot more could be said, the words and accolades will only continue to add further for this talented woman who has handled all her roles flawlessly as a mother, daughter, teacher, learner and as an entrepreneur.
