Jayasri Ganesan

A Selfless Soul

Jayasri faced many struggles since childhood, but grew up to overcome them all. Today, she proudly runs her own Hindi classes and provides for most of her family.

Jayasri Ganesan’s struggles began from childhood, from when she was in the fifth standard.
As her father abandoned her mother along with her younger brother and sister. With the help of other family members, educational support continued up to the eighth standard. Later, she got married to her own uncle (her mother’s brother). By attending tutorials, she successfully completed her tenth standard. She was blessed with three daughters and she began learning Hindi and tailoring, as she was not able to spare time for regular studies. Slowly, she completed all levels of Hindi examinations through Hindi Prachar Sabha and started taking Hindi classes from home for more than 30 children. Many are passing with flying colors in their examinations.

Along with her husband, she has supported the studies of her brother and sister, and they are married and settled in their lives. She takes care of her mother-in-law. She looks after her daughters’ studies, taking them for various classes like balvikas, Bhagavad Geetha chanting, music, dance, and keyboard as well. She also takes her three daughters to school, at various time slots. Her intention is to raise her daughters as a good example for our nation. They are achieving in various competitions and winning many prizes. She was also awarded by the parents of the students who come to her for Hindi tuitions, as the best teacher they have met so far, by giving her a memento. She is supporting her four sisters-in-law’s families and they can reach her home without any hesitation. They treat her as a mother even though they are older than her.

Finally, as her husband, I am so proud of her, her courage and positive attitude in life. The way she is supporting her family with her hard work, is so beautiful.
She plays various roles in her life successfully. It is my responsibility and pride to salute her for being an inspiring woman.
